Yoga. I'm Down Dog!

Wow! It was emotional for.me in my yoga practice yesterday! It is often emotional for me during raja but today was a doozy! My practice was already feeling great in part due to one of the best yoga instructors ever, Philip Christodoulou, but then my song came on!!! What??? Gotta love it when that happens!

Snatam Kuar's "Ong Namo" started playing and it hit me.....not only was I listening to that exact song on my way to yoga but I realized how much my life has changed in the past year. That song triggered a ton of reflection and so much gratitude I burst into tears. Again!(laughing)

That song was playing just over a year ago in January when I tried yoga again after so many years. Jiwan Kaur was teaching Kundulini my friend

Wendi's wellness retreat. I was singing "Ong Namo" as my tears(and snot)dripped into my hands during a yoga pose. I didnt have a clue what I was chanting/singing but I knew it was the most beautiful song I'd ever heard and I knew it was significant for me but I didnt know why. I mean I was balling.

Yesterday, I sang the words again(words that I now know so well) and I felt so much gratitude for the amount of evolving and growth I have done in just one short year. It's incredible really. I've been on a path of self-development for over 20 years but this past year....wow!....has been leaps and bounds as far as the shift in my consciousness and healing and health and vision for my life! For everything!

The important message here is that it seems like yesterday that I started doing yoga again but it was a year! It's incredible how much we can create and learn and shift in a year if we do one thing....

START.

Start doing something!

Just start.

A year from now you'll wish you had! Namaste'!

PS. Pictured above is an amazing yoga teacher and beautiful soul....my college roommate and one of my best friends, Debbie Turner. She is amazing!
